Bmezhebitskiy:

This document explains how to redistribute MediaLooks' components with your products.

==Redistribution Guidelines==

Once you have licensed any of our products, you will receive a set of license files (.LIC), each corresponding to a DLL from the product package. The license files will unlock the DLLs, that are available via the standard downloads from our web site.

When integrating our product into your own application, all you need for redistribution is the Dlls and the license files.

Here's a rough list of things that you need to do.

* Copy our DLLs used in your project to the target folder. Please note that it must be both original DLLs (for example MGPlayoutPXT.dll) and interop files.

NOTE: If you use Decoder Pack or Capture Pack you also need to copy *.ax files from "bin" folder and register them just like common dll.

NOTE: If you use Multimedia Bridge except of dlls from "MultiMedia Bridge\bin" you also need to copy and register "MLBridgeVLC.dll" from "MultiMedia Bridge\bin\VLC".

* Copy MLProxy.dll that you have recieved in your license email.

NOTE: If your license does not have Personal Protection MLProxy.dll is not needed. So just pass to the next step.

* Regsiter original DLLs (including MLProxy.dll) with one of the following methods:
*# Call "regsvr32.exe
.dll.
*# SelfRegModules MSI Action.
*# WiX tag <File Id=... SelfRegCost=<size of data for write to register> .../>
*# Via the installer. The registration data can be retrieved from the DLL if you open it in, say, Visual Studio and read the "REGISTRY" section.
* Copy the license file (.LIC) into the same folder with either our DLL or your app's executable (preferred).

Note: Do not rename the .LIC file or the .DLL.

The easiest way to test is via the SDK samples. Here's what you need to do:

# Download and setup [[Live Chroma Key SDK]] or [[Virtual Studio SDK]] (the installer package is the same so it does not matter).
# Download sample clips to test chroma keying on (for example these ones: http://files.medialooks.com/colorkey_small.rar ) , or use a live stream.
# Compile and run Vision Mixer C# sample.
# Select "New project".
# Add one downloaded file to project (Press "Add file" button -> select downloaded file clip_1.1.avi -> press "Apply" button), or add a live stream from your device.
# You will see the stream playback in the main window of the application. To test a chroma key filter, let's try to change a blue backround of a clip into some other color, or a custom picture.
# Select your device (file) in a device list (upper left corner) and press "Chroma Key" button. A chroma key properties dialog will appear.
# Choose a key type (for example, RGB).
# Set "Enabled" flag near the Chroma Key dropdown chooser ("Key 1" must be chosen)
# Choose a background of a picture in the left side of a dialog. To do that, press the left mouse button (cursor will be turned into cross) on the background area of the picture (if you used our file, the background is blue). You will see that selected area marked with black-and-white squares. Keep pressing on the blue areas, until all background is marked with black-and-white squares.
# Press “OK” button. The chroma key properties dialog will be closed.
# Now the chroma key filter is working.

You can set this parameters values on flash item add by passing them to filename string of AddNewItem method like this:

string strItemID = "";
m_pMLCharGen.AddNewItem("FlashItem.swf?param1=value&param2=value2", 0, 0, 1, 0, ref strItemID);

You can also save this parameters string to Character Generator configuration XML:

<ml-chargen>

There are 2 ways to do that:

'''1. Use GetVideoCodecProps() and SetVideoCodecProps() methods.'''

This methods use ICGetState interface of codecs ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd743157(v=VS.85).aspx ).
That means that they get and set properties in binary structure and it is impossible to change them manually (data storing format is codec specific).

So, here is a sequence of actions to use them:

* Set all needed codec settings through property page.

* Get state (settings) with GetVideoCodecProps() method.

* Save received settings.

* On next usage restore this settings with SetVideoCodecProps() method.

''Note:'' ICGetState is supported by VCM codecs only (they are marked as blue in GraphEdit).
Edit).

'''2. Receive pointer to codec object and use it's DirectShow interface directly.'''

Here is a sequence of actions:

* Create an instance of codec DirectShow interface (must be provided by codec developers).

* Get the pointer to codec object with GetVideoEncoderFilter() or GetAudioEncoderFilter() method.

* Cast codec object to it's DirectShow interface instance.

* Use DirectShow interface instance methods to set codec properties.

''Note:'' This method is supported by non-VCM codecs with DirectShow interface only.

Here is a sequence of actions:

- create an instance of codec DirectShow interface (must be provided by codec developers).

- get the pointer to codec object with GetVideoEncoderFilter() or GetAudioEncoderFilter() method.

- cast codec object to it's DirectShow interface instance.

- use DirectShow interface instance methods to set codec properties.

==Redistribution Guidelines==

# Copy our DLLs used in your project to the target folder. Please note that it must be original DLLs (for example MGPlayoutPXT.dll) and interop files.
# Copy MLProxy.dll that you have recieved in your license email.
# Regsiter original DLLs (including MLProxy.dll) with one of the following methods:
## Call "regsvr32.exe
.dll.
## SelfRegModules MSI Action.
## WiX tag <File Id=... SelfRegCost=<size of data for write to register> .../>
## Via the installer. The registration data can be retrieved from the DLL if you open it in, say, Visual Studio and read the "REGISTRY" section.
# Copy the license file (.LIC) into the same folder with either our DLL or your app's executable (preferred).

Note: Do not rename the .LIC file or the .DLL.
